Winter Camporee January 11-13 2008 Camp Kikthawenund

		An almost mandatory event in our calendar is the participation in the Annual Del-Mi District Winter Camporee which was held this year January 11th through the 13th at Camp K. near Elwood.  The theme was Highland Games and I don't think I've ever seen so many knobby kneed men and boys in kilts in one place ever.  We began Saturday with a great pancake breakfast complete with acrobatics from our Committee Chairman Our Committee Chair and our Scoutmaster.... Graber and Grumpy... The contests began with some fire building ...and then an obstacle course... .... a caber toss.  Note the great form and the results here.  Not a bad effort..... ...and that was followed by the some rock throwing... Note the kilts!  We weren't as prepared as some troop, I'm afraid to say, although we had a little trouble with the concept of a kilt and bare knees....
