Lost Bridge Camp Salomonie - May 17,18 2008

		This year's May campout was at Salomonie Reservoir in Northern Indiana, near Andrews, IN.  The main events were a cooking contest, canoeing and fishing.   The Pedro Patrol, winner of the past two cooking contests came in second with their efforts this time, causing some consternation among the members.  They'll just have to try harder next time.    The bacon wrapped pork tenderloin with Dutch oven sweet potatoes.  It was a pretty good effort, just not good enough! The Awesome Oldies Patrol came up with this offering, not bad for a bunch of "old" guys.  These are Hawaiian wraps just for the record.  The Wolverines won for the first time and they deserved it.  Moms - have a look at what they're doing out there in the wilderness.  Even the presentation is pretty awesome.  I wonder if they could do this at home......?  Here we have tacos and refried beans.  It was awesome!  The fishing was good and here are a few that didn't get away!  They caught croppy and bass.  These carp seemed to be a little too easy for the fellows to pass by.  These were released, just for the record.   We had a huge campsite all to ourselves.  We had 200 feet of shoreline.  A few of our members getting ready to put in the canoes.  Some camp site organization in progress....
